James Rayford "Buster" Marsalis of Saucier died Monday, June 10, 2013, in Saucier. He was 94.
Mr. Marsalis was born May 7, 1919, in Vicksburg. He was a member of Redbone Methodist Church in Warren County, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the VFW and a Mason of Scottish Rites. Mr. Marsalis worked as a master mechanic and roundhouse supervisor at the Illinois Central Railroad in Vicksburg for 42 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E.L. and Meda Marsalis; a sister, Mildred Marsalis; his brothers, Lowell Marsalis and Dr. L. Wilton Marsalis; and his wife of 65 years, Lois L. "Tess" Marsalis.
He is survived by one daughter, Judy M. Clark (Bob); two grandsons, Jon Clark and Jeff Clark (Mandy); three great-grandchildren, Katelyn Clark, Grayson Clark and Coleman Clark; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Friday, June 14, 2013, at noon at Hermanville Cemetery in Claiborne County.
